the ritz theater was around the corner on 180th st. between bryant and boston road although the name is obviously a misnomer of world class proportions their menu of movies were classic. it was a last run theater. a theater in which long dead movies would be resurrected, arise from their graves and provide haunting visions and bad dreams to us kids for the rest of our lives. even in the 1940's, "the cabinet of dr. caligari", "king kong", and "gunga din" were ancient.
in retrospect anyone who saw. "gunga din", should have been aware of the insanity of al quaeda and their followers.
