ADVENTURES IN REAL ESTATE II

ASSESSMENTS

our first tax bill (in (ugh) new jersey) showed we were living on an empty lot.  i didn't want the tax people to  cheat themselves so i called the tax office to correct their mistake.  i'm so smart.  nevermind.

one of my co-workers living in the same house model on the next street was always complaining about his real estate taxes turned out to be paying less than i.  WHAT?  i managed to wake the assessors up and get a tax reduction.

during a review of our assessment many years later as the assessor was looking at my file card, i noticed it was blank.  he was making stuff up as he went along.  i advised him there were no improvements as he described.

in my current state you just get run around 'til you are worn down.  just pay the tax bill.  it'll be easier and cheaper in the long run.

HELP!
