just finished this audio book.  i haven't been as affected since reading, "the grapes of wrath", over 65 years ago.  each character is embedded into my mind.  this rarely happens as i read a book and forget a book. 

there are some soft murky spots so i would not put it in the same class as steinbeck's work but being an expert and pundit i recommend this item.

i had a tough time finding this song.  entering just "nearer " on youtube resulted only in reams of crap about god and not the song "you're nearer".  that's why i've displayed two versions here (as revenge).

yesterday a poll found that almost half of the population of this country thinks that this planet was created less than 10 thousand years ago.  NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE STUPIDITY OF YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS.
