the most significant event that occurred after moving here was the sneak jap attack on pearl harbor. remember, the day that lives in infamy? of course you don't. you don't even remember 9/11/2001. what was that, you say? nevermind.

my dad, manager of the night shift came into the living room of our one bedroom apt. like cinderella, i slept in the living room but who holds a grudge? he and i listened to the radio media reports. we were just quiet and did not say much. my dad quietly went back to the bedroom. i think my mom was out, probably with her mom and sisters, or shopping, or at a dance. who knows? too late now to find out or discuss it.
