nbc new state electoral projections for 2012 shows that once again republicans win total acreage including deserts, forests, and assorted mountainous wilderness (and of course backwoods new jersey).

but if you're going to count places where there are people, obama will sweep into his second term.  i predict, and i am rarely wrong (at most twice a day), he will take at least 500 electoral votes.  go stick your acreage, republicans.
