i confess that i don't have the "golf gene". people in the dc area are going nuts buying tickets and stuff for the "open" - whatever - watching other people hitting a little ball sround an empty field. parking lots are jammed. buses are going to and fro. relatives from both sides of my family are in attendance (aaaak).
