ARMY DAYS XII
RIFLES
we were taught to disassemble, assemble, clean our rifles and stuff. it was really neat. NOT!
after being marched out to the rifle range we were sorta instructed as to how the thing worked. i think we each took about 3 to 8 shots at the target. where my bullets landed - who the hell knows?
during the korean war as you recall, - heh, heh - you don't - it was rumored that the chinese we were fighting (you don't know that either do you?) thought the loiud noise coming out of the weapon caused death or injury, not the bullet. for people allegedly having 150 IQs on average it seeems a bit stupid. i guess having a high IQ does not mean you have any sense or that you can drive..

all you wanted to know about the m1 but were afraid to ask. i think this was the weapon we used. i made a mistake in a previous blog.
the butt plate was great: if you didn't put enough holes in your enemy, you could always break him up with the butt plate. also as a bonus:
the good old days.
