i quit.  got to level 34 in, "diablo", when (i guess) i was struck by lightning or something.  should be impossible to lose because i was well equipped both physically and with armaments.  unfairly killed.  life can be that way but this is a game.  in chess your opponent can't decide to hit you over the head with a club when you're winning.  or in monopoly you don't have a "chance" card which says you just had a stroke and died - YOUR ASSETS WILL BE DIVIDED AMONG THE SURVIVING PLAYERS.

on the other hand, i am now a job creator and captain of industry.  outside is for red necks, and homeless people.  going to and from my car is enough exposure to (ugh) nature.

after a week of hard slogging through the parallel realm of diablo 2 and reaching level 23 they killed me.  it was late in the day and after a particularly difficult assault on the evil ones i was caught over confident and unaware that a large band of their comrades were awaiting me. 

anyway i have other important things to do.  for example; today is senior citizen discount day at harris-teeter.  must get my 5% as i'm saving for my old age.  also must return books to the library.  see!

i'm still on diablo 2 because diablo 3 got such mediocre reviews.

many times taking a creature from its feral environmrnt can prove fatal.  a wild animal constrained to civilization and its boundaries has a difficult time adapting.  in spite of all difficulties my adaptation to civilization appears successful.  14 years out of new jersey and i can almost smile again and relate in an almost civilized manner to my fellow primates.

mmmmmmmmm.......

my sorta' vegetarian regimen seems to be working.  of course the last older person i spoke to whose diet was working turned out to have cancer.  anyhow, a delicious lunch of spinach and broccoli lightly seasoned with condiments which have been laying about in your kitchen for years is a really mmmm, mmmm delight.  for extra protein energy and deliciousness you can throw in some tofu chunks.  doesn't get any better than this.

for the more sophisticated and gourmet types the variation which includes bean sprouts, asparagus, and dandelion leaves culled from your lawn may be desirable.  i know my transylvanian relatives survived a thousand years on a similar delicious diet.

diablo 3 unveiled yesterday.  breathlessly i awaited the reviews on amazon.  sadly my expectations were dashed and crushed.  363 users who anted up the $60 initial cost plus internet costs were disappointed and hurt by the various problems, redtape, and game.  they gave it one star- the worst rating.  only  185 users were satisfied rating it five stars.  my usual approach to buying an item is if the item has an approval rating of 10:1.  this item has a 1:2 ratio.

i'll go back to diablo 2 (or 1)  which were interesting games with very few problems.

on the upside, you can cherry pick opinions from various doctors easily.  on the downside, half of the opinions, prescribed meds, and one-size-fits-all approach can be worthless or worse.
