i quit.  got to level 34 in, "diablo", when (i guess) i was struck by lightning or something.  should be impossible to lose because i was well equipped both physically and with armaments.  unfairly killed.  life can be that way but this is a game.  in chess your opponent can't decide to hit you over the head with a club when you're winning.  or in monopoly you don't have a "chance" card which says you just had a stroke and died - YOUR ASSETS WILL BE DIVIDED AMONG THE SURVIVING PLAYERS. 

i've got other things to do before i struggle with the reality of life and death.  DIABLO, bug off!

this past week we were subjected to the bizarre-crazies to the just plain exploitive-crazies.  from the aurora shooter who was angry at all of us and caused about 80 casualties including 12 dead to michele bachmann and glenn beck and rush limbaugh who are inciting the weak minded by their lies and propaganda.  sometimes a kangaroo court meting out frontier justice seems appropriate.

who is going to fund the job creators' jobs?  you don't think we're going to use our own money (heh, heh).  the FED is anxious to start throwing money at the creators of the "job creators' " industry.  there's just too much risk out there.  the worst thing for risk takers is risk or taking a chance.  we don't want no stinkin' risk.  we'll only take risk if its a sure thing provided there are no taxes except sales tax which i can slip into my pocket (heh, heh).

TO THE U S CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (a lobbying group):  i'll be glad to take a billion dollars and spread it around to create the jobs provided i don't have to subsidize any (ugh) health or (ugh, ugh)retirement benefits.  the fittest will survive and paying benefits will slow my activities and the evolution of mankind.  i'm doing it for you.  BECAUSE i know how to do it.  i know, i know, i know, I KNOW, or i'll  hold my breath and throw a fit, yesssssss.

what a load of crap.  if you think that putting a uniform on and being told what to do and think promotes maturity you are delusional.  when actually in a war your mental attitude probably will be changed by the experience but just being a desk jockey will not alter your mentality.  there is a good chance that you may be more of a jerk after the experience than before.

its now two years since my doctor officially declared me dead.  so i fired the doctor.  science is so wonderful.  y'know, bumble bees can't fly. 

its not that there are not enough scientists and engineers in this country, its that there are too many of them.  separating the "wheat from the chafe" is difficult or impossible.  having worked with such people in our defense dept. i can assure you that at least 5% of them are good.  the rest of them should be working in coal mines or steel factories.
